Upholstery has been my trade for 25+ years, and I worked with antiques, modern and customized pieces, an interesting and fulfilling job.

I have an extensive work history. Companies, such as The National Company, Prestige Upholstery and Laberty's Upholstery, which provide services to national and international customers, have been few of my employers.

In the last 15 years, I have noticed furniture manufactures now built units that last short periods of time and nice antiques are left behind, forgotten. Few people chose to reupholster old pieces, knowing and appreciating their value.

Although I am not against fashionable and short-life pieces of furniture, I seek to preserve those pieces that foster family and personal history.

One client, for example, told me when she was a kid, she used to sit and played on a particular antique chair. 20 years later, she found the piece in the attic, brought it to me and asked to reupholster it. Now, she wants to pass the chair on to her daughter.

Her daughter is now playing and enjoying the same yet newly reupholstered chair, which was well built and it will last another 20 years.

Whether customers bring me antiques, modern or customized pieces of furniture, my aim is to satisfy their demands and dreams. I am proud of my work.
